The Assembly for Open Judaism exists to cultivate a serious, compassionate, and spiritually open Jewish movement rooted in Jewish peoplehood, ethical responsibility, cultural continuity, ritual life, learning, and freedom of conscience. We affirm that Jewish belonging is not dependent on theological conformity, and we welcome Jews who believe in God, Jews who do not believe in God, Jews who are uncertain, and Jews who understand Jewish tradition symbolically, culturally, spiritually, historically, or theologically. Through accessible Jewish adoption/conversion, mentor-based clergy formation, communal accountability, lifecycle support, and shared service, we seek to help Jewish life flourish with dignity, integrity, and openness.
